Behavioral Conseling

Behavioral issues comprise a large portion of cases that are presented for consultation. With pets living closer to us in our lives, they are sometimes more like children than animals. Like people, pets that have behavioral abnormalities are difficult to live with. Whether aggression, inappropriate eliminations or just weird behavior, we attempt to evaluate the pet for medical issues, then attempt to ascertain reasons for the abnormal behavior. Many times it’s a matter of obedience training, or helping owners to be more dominant and the pet to be more submissive, or dealing with anxiety issues. We even have a board certified veterinary behaviorist available for referral should we feel the need. Contact our hospital if any of these issues should arise.
